I've tried everything to find an old song from my childhood - I think it was about a young couple, she got pregnant...
The lyrics were something like..
You mother said you cried in your sleep last night,
she asked me this morning did we have a big fight,
I said no,
but I'm sure that she knows,
she know about yooouuu.
I told her that I thought it was just a bad dream
But she wasn't born yesterday
You know what I mean,
something something something....
That'd be pretty close to the words, but nobody seems to know it.
It was a guy singing, and it would have been early 80's I would think.
Any help would be appreciated....

My first guess is Robert Plant, "Your Ma Said You Cried in Your Sleep Last Night" off of Manic Nirvana, 1990. But most of the lyrics don't match up

Shakin' Stevens also did that song, in 1983, and it was originally from the 60s.

Nope - I know that track quite well, it ain't that.
It has more of a "howard Jonesish" kinda 80's feel if you know what I mean...
