Subject: Your daddy wants to help you build things

Looking for the lyrics (and the song as well) that has the refrain "Oh your daddy wants to help you build things, your daddy wants to help you build". The lyrics told the story of what a disaster it was when daddy tried to help build things.

I know the song you're talking about. It was on a record our library had when I was a kid called Grownups or something like that. I don't remember the whole thing, but I do remember some bits, especially the ending, since it was a near perfect descritpion of the results of my wonderful but sometimes not very helpful dad's handiwork...
Your daddy loves to help you build things
Your daddy loves to help you build
Aeroplanes and submarines
Big things small things in betweens
All you have to do is shout
Daddy Daddy help me out
And your daddy comes to help you build it
Your daddy comes to help you build
..... (I don't remember much of the middle but the concept of an extra part they couldn't figure out where it went came up, and daddy saying don't touch it) .....
Your daddy takes the extra part and bending very low
Tries to see exactly where the extra part should go
Then suddenly you see the place the extra part should fit
Your daddy takes it from your hand and says
"Don't touch it"
chorus again
Twenty hours later if you want to know the score
Your daddy in person is now stuck to the floor
The glue si over everything the whole darn room is messed
And your daddy needs I'd say about a month or two of rest
The project you are building is now absolutely broke
It doesn't look like it does on the box it looks just like a joke
But don't feel angry not at all there's no use to feel bad
You coud have built the thing yourself without the help of dad
chorus again
