Subject: Does anyone know the song and artist that matches up with these lyrics?

Written By: Lost... on 03/10/05 at 8:19 am

I can't get all the lyrics to it... but here's some which I managed to pick out....

We saw the western coast, outside the hospital... (first line)

You kept it safe and slow, the quiet things that no one ever knows... (line before the chorus)

...keep your feet on the ground... (Only part of chorus I can capture, It's the second line of it)

... You friends are boring me to death... (some line in 2nd verse)

(chorus part again)

I lie for only you. and I lie when Halleluya (how ever that's spelt it it's even that word) (That's said like a bridge thing, said twice and then chorus is said again with that in the background) (song finishes)

here ya go:

"The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows"

We saw the western coast
I saw the hospital
Nursed the shoreline like a wound
Reports of lover's tryst
Were neither clear nor descript
We kept it safe and slow
The quiet things that no one ever knows

So keep the blood in your head
And keep your feet on the ground
If today's the day it gets tough
Today's the day we drop out
Gave up my body and bed
All for an empty hotel
Wasting words on lower cases and capitals

I contemplate the day we wed
Your friends are boring me to death
Your veil is ruined in the rain
By then it's you I can do without
There's nothing new to talk about
And though our kids are blessed
Their parents let them shoulder all the blame

So keep the blood in your head
And keep your feet on the ground
If today's the day it gets tough
Today's the day we drop out
Gave up my body and bed
All for an empty hotel
Wasting words on lower cases and capitals

I lie for only you
And I lie well...
Hallelu...

I love that song! It was on the soundtrack of some video game, I think NHL 2004, so I bought the CD and I love it.
