Subject: Song title and lyrics

Written By: BigH on 05/01/05 at 11:00 pm

Can anyone out there help me identify the name of a song which contains the words "Oh how you make me quiver, Oh how you make me smile. Oh ............, I think I'm going to stay with you awhile". I believe the Artist is Kiki Dee, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have the rest of the lyrics and know where I can hear an Audio of this song?
Thanks so very, very much for any help with this. It's driving me crazy trying to remember where I heard this song.

The Bells  - Stay Awhile

Into my room he creeps
Without making a sound
Into my dreams he peeps
With his hair all long and hanging down

How he makes me quiver
How he makes me smile
With all this love I have to give him
I guess I'm gonna stay with him awhile

She brushes the curls from my eyes
She drops her robe on the floor
And she reaches for the light on the bureau
And the darkness is her pillow once more

How she makes me quiver
How she makes me smile
With all this love I have to give her
I guess I'm gonna stay with her awhile

---- Harmonica  Interlude ----

How it makes me quiver
How it makes me smile
With all this love I have to give you
Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile

How it makes me quiver
How it makes me smile
With all this love I have to give you
Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile

Stay with you awhile

(Whispered)
I guess I'm gonna stay

"Stay Awhile" was a #1 hit in Canada
(#7 Billboard, USA) for The Bells in 1971
They also had an earlier Top-10 Canadian hit
With "Fly Little White Dove, Fly" in 1970

"Stay Awhile" is a duet
The first verse and chorus is sung by Jacki Ralph
And the second verse and chorus
Is sung by her brother-in-law, Cliff Edwards
Then they sing the rest of the song together

Thank You sooooooo much Claybricks! This has been driving my CRAZY for a couple years. Maybe I can sleep peacefully tonight, without going over and over the few lyrics I had before. I sincerely appreciate the info.
