I had a 45 back in the 60s., could have been by the Zombies or Kinks. It was a hit, and on the other side was a song which went, "I don't need any reason when I hold you". Later, it goes, "but if you need a reason I'll give one to you......You make me feel good...You make me feel good.....Don't have to justify why I feel so good so good so good.....never thought you'd be so good to me". The lead singer sounded a lot like the guy from the Zombies when he sang "time of the season".

It's not hard to find when you know what to look for. The lyrics you're quoting are from "You make me feel good" by the Zombies. It was on the B side of "She's not there" (released August 1964).
