Think it's called "a sad state of affairs". artist? possibly from the 70s. The chorus goes, "It's a sad state, sad state of affairs, no-one cares, no-one cares.

Burton Cummings (ex-lead singer of the Guess Who) had a song called a Sad State of Affairs from that period.

It was actually "FINE" state of affais by burton cummings, but your reply helped me find it. thanx.
