:-\\I am trying to find the title to this song i only know a few of the lyrics............ along time ago when the earth was green there were more kinds of animals than you've ever seen

Well, may have it wrong,, but it sounds similar to the 'UNICORN' song by the Irish Rovers.... :-\\

yep it's the Unicorn song by the Irish Rovers (great song)
A long time ago, when the Earth was green
