(Parody writers--I get dibs on Sumo Girl. ;))

I've always heard "sun-eyed," or possibly "summer." Sumo sounds like a fun idea, though  :P

After reading that other thread, I might have to take a crack at "Sunni Girl" myself...

I used to think it was Sun-Eyed, but it really is summer... Or maybe he left the lyrics as my ... girl because he's not saying anything?

That's FREEEAKY. I only just saw that clip about an hour ago, where the city keeps turning into Al Jaffee MAD Fold-Ins and was gunna say mention something about it in the Mattering thread.

I originally thought 'Summer' but there was definite 'n' in there instead of an 'm' sound, so I thought Sun-up or Sun-eyed.

Song Lyrics.com says it's 'Summer'.

So I guess the natural conclusion is "My 'something' Girl...'

Well, At least someone still pays attention to Al Jaffee... You don't hear much about Mad anymore...

You take that back! I'm NOT the only person in Australia who stupidly shells out $7 for the same material that I've already bought years ago. I'm NOT!

*wails in denial*

Look up the lyrics to that song!  It is so creepy, because it sounds so laid back, but he is singing about murdering this girl, and in one part he talks about shooting her from a freight train.

And yeah, the music video is a tribute to Al Jaffee.  In one part of the music video, it shows a TV caption that says, "Go from the streets to Easy Street!" and it flashes "Al Jaffee" on the screen.  Speaking of which, I am eagerly awaiting my issue of MAD magazine.  I think I'll be getting it in the mail tomorrow.

It actually sounds like southern to me, and the setting of the video backs it up.

The song title is "Summer Girl" but it sounds like "southern girl" to me.
