Subject: KROQ lyric question from wayyyy back

Hola:
I've been utterly tormented since 10th grade (1981) with trying to figure out who sang an early KROQ staple that goes a little something like this:
"And YOU, took me to the Whisky for a big night out. And YOU blah blah blah"
That's all I've got. You'll notice the words aren't overly Google friendly.
Anyone? Anyone?
Deepest gratitude for the first to help crack the code. I'll even burn a CD of KROQ classics for the first to reveal the answer.
