Subject: New rock song?

I heard a song on the radio tonight that had a great sound to it. It was a rock/alternative band with a female vocalist and the lyrics i caught before it was over was either "trying to forget" or "dying to forget". Sorry I don't have more to work with but I've been searching furiously for this song and have come up empty so far.

Jeremy by Pearl Jam.
The lyrics fit but the female vocal part doesnt.

I know that Allison Crowe once covered a couple Pearl Jam tracks...not sure if she did Jeremy though.

hay ive heard that snd on z arabia today ohh man it was awsome with a female vocalist mannnn awsome sone but unfortunately i coudnty catch the name awainnnnn
