Anyway, it seem Benjamin Orr (who died in 2000) sang the vocals on 'Drive', which received a lot of publicity in the UK, when it was used as a backing in a tragic documentary showing the plight of countless starving Ethiopians. Bob Geldof saw this documentary, and Band Aid/Live Aid was the result.
Whenever I hear that song I picture that video. I thought though that the news report came first and then Cars re-released the song. Could be wrong though
