Subject: Help with lyrics: Computor Rockers "Return of the Computor Rockers"

Written By: Foo Bar on 12/25/07 at 12:18 am

Computor Rockers, "Return of the Computor Rockers", track 5 from Galaxy Defenders, 1998.

(I discovered this as part of a little detour into the roots of nerdcore and 8bit.  This is sort of the Miami-bass-electrobass-rap version of it.  Interesting stuff.  Anyways, here's another pile of vocoder-munged lyrics... I think I've got most of them, but can anyone fill in the blanks?  "?" denotes an unknown syllable, and ?word? denotes my guess as to what a ?word? might be.  Where I'm pretty sure(?sewer?) about a word, I'll put another idea in parentheses beside it.)

(various samples throughout the albumfrom Kraftwerk's Tour de France and The Telephone Call)

I'm gonna rock it, I'm gonna rock your planet, baby,
And when I do it, I wanna see you slam it, baby,
I'm gonna rock it with the funky-ass bass,
Because the freaky freaky laides shake their booty in the place,
Because the Computor Rockers are second to none,
When we're droppin the jam, we're always droppin' a bomb,

(Because our bass is so heavy, you can hear it in Manhattan?,
Now? to get those freaky freaky ladies shakin' they ass!)

(Because our bass is so heavy, you can hear it in ?-?
?Enough? to get those freaky freaky ladies shakin' they ass!)

Turn on your computer and look at the screen,
It's a sexy kinda feeling if you know what I mean,
Feel the keys, the disk drive, and the mouse,
And feel the bass when we rock the house,
Then type in your password and press return,
The Computor Rockers are back to burn,
If the cursor is flashin' then you're ready to go,
Until you're rockin' with the automat-ic? techno?,
And the funky bass sound is back to stay,
You know the Computor Rockers aren't going away,
We're like a virus in your system, in everything you do,
Between your ROM and your RAM and your CPU,
You feel the bass and you know what I mean,
Computor Rockers on your stereo and on your screen,
Miami is the? ?underground? where? the? bass always shook it,
But now that ground is gone 'cos Computer Rockers took it!

I fail!  I'm gonna go with the Manhattan reference (as per the Manhattan-vs-Miami battles in the early freestyle/bass years), but I don't know how I missed this the first few dozen times around.  It even dovetails directly into the Miami-vs-Manhattan rivalry:

Miami used to wear the crown, where the bass always shook it,
But now that crown is gone 'cos Computer Rockers took it!
