There was an old Toni Braxton song playing this afternoon and it was : I'm Your Baby Tonight.
It really was quite cooking! However, as she sung eith part of the first verse of the song or could have been toward the end of the second, there was a line with the word 'ESCAPE' in it and since it was on radio, I couldn't rewind it, but it sounded like she clearly said EX-CAPE'..
Anyone else hear that, or have the song...(not a rerecorded one but the one that originally came out?)

a lot of people pronounce that word that way.

I'm Your Baby Tonight is by Whitney Houston....unless Toni did a cover of it.

Iknow it was a Toni song..had the song wrong ...maybe it was 'You mean the world to me' or else I may call the station that played it.then if someone will listen...
For a professional singer to say EXCAPE is just not right..unless like the HIP-HOP singer saying buooy or bending words ..you gotta figure the message...

Kind of like Porgy and Bess time...Bess, you IS my woman! Bess you AM my woman?
But then it's a tale of the times..other mangles words in top pop song I feel is unforgiven...no ebonics either!(Thanks Mr. Cosby)
