that's pretty general. Perhaps if you had a specific commercial in mind we might be able to assist.

Specifically I was looking for lyrics to "Sparklets Water" TV commercials shown in Southern CA during the late 70's - early 80's.

California is the land of mountains and the sun,
The drinking water that's number one
Is Sparklett's water, and dontcha know there's gotta be a reason
Folks trust Sparklett's?

Cause bottle after bottle over sixty years,
Sparklett's is always pure, clean and clear
And Sparklett's people are the people that really know water.

Therefore neighbors, when all the water talking is said in done,
Great tasting Sparklett's is number one,
Me and Sparklett's water making friends.

Wish I could say it was from memory (well, I remembered some of it), but if you do a video search on google for sparkletts commercial you'll get a video entitled "KCOP Commercials (1987) - Part 1". The Sparklett's commercial is at about 2:03. This may not be the exact commercial you're looking for, as I think I remember slight variations while growing up, but it's probably the best available.

I'd thought of answering the original question with "Sure!  Just ask here, and be specific, no matter how obscure it is, someone around here probably remembers it.  And if not, someone will find it by googling it, and post the answer a few months/years down the road."

I've been here for a few years and I know this board was good at these sorts of things, but damn...  A 20-year-old commercial for a regional product, and it's nailed within four hours

Damn, we're good, karma to Kryllith, and welcome aboard to slotscott.

This thirsty man is Harvey Hood
Whose drinking water never tasted good
He used to sneak up on his glass to get him a drink
So he called Sparkletts
And bad taste problems are over, here's why:
Sparkletts water is the best you can buy
That sparkling smile means Harvey Hood agreed: "Whoop-dee-dee!"
The name on the shirt says Sparkletts, friends
It means good taste and it makes good sense
Me and Sparkletts water making friends
Yes, me and Sparkletts water making friends
Sparkletts brings good-tasting water to a thirsty world!

About 5 am I left the middle of the city,
Look at that sunrise, ain't she a pretty one?
Me and Sparkletts Water and a brand new day.
In a bright green truck with a shimmering sign that says "Sparkletts," friend,
And a way up yonder around the bend
Waits a little old lady and a dog named Leon Jones, yeah, Leon.
Well, the lady is pleasant, seems real nice,
Leon don't, tried to bite me twice,
So now I bring water and two big juicy bones--lamb's shoulder.
Clean, clear water is what it's all about,
I put the fresh ones in and take the empties out,
And the way she smiles reminds me of my old man Flo, don't you know?
South Dakota, treats me like a real hero.
Well, she said "Thanks," I think Leon grinned,
I put her in gear and hit the road again,
Me and Sparkletts Water making friends.
Yes, me and Sparkletts Water making friends.
Sparkletts brings good tasting water to a thirsty world.
