Subject: Song playing on a loop in a toy

What song is this? I suspect it's a '90s dance song. The lyrics had the word "abracadabra." By the way, it isn't Abracadabra by Tiggy. I know that song from my preschool days.

Is it Steve Miller's "Abracadabra"?

It is indeed that song, albeit in the form of a Eurodance version.

By the way, said version had a beat similar to this song:

The version I heard had female vocals and a dance beat. Was it a version recorded just for the toy? (Said toy was a spinning ball of lights which played a version of Abracadabra with a Eurodance beat.)

By the way, said version had a beat similar to this song:

- Strike One, Abracadabra

BPM are close enough, but 2006 release year seems a bit too recent and male vocals don't qualify.

- Soundlovers, Abracadabra?

The Soundlovers track dates back to 2000, has female vocals, is more Eurobeat and worth a listen (it sounds more like the Fey track than a Steve Miller cover) but is not actually a cover of the Steve Miller track.

(The Charasmatix track is pretty awesome, but is neither a cover and is more hardcore trance from 2004, so I've skipped it here.)

Do you remember what year it was (or how old you were, and go from there) when you got the gadget in question?
