Subject: My Apology to Mr. Tong

Written By: Bob Pagliaro on 08/28/02 at 06:51 p.m.

Hi there.
I submit from time-to-time and am entertained daily by the new entries.
I just submitted a parody "Bomb Iraq" to the tune of "Barbara Ann" (obviously).  Anyway, after submission I searched and found a terrific parody written by Mr. Tong.
William, I just want to say that I probably would not have written it had I searched and found yours in advance.
No intent of plagiarism on my part.
Bob

I'm sure he won't mind. I'll check out yours, I've already got Bill's on Winamp and all.

Hi Bob - I did much the same (mine's the (don't) Bomb Iraq variant), though even Bill Tong's parody isn't the first: there's one around from the Clinton era I have as an MP3... it's just too lovely a tune to miss ;-)
