Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum; I just registered today.
My name is Luigi, 33yo, I'm Italian but I grew up in southern Switzerland -- 30 minutes from the Italian border. I've been in the US (New Jersey) since May 1999.
I have always liked 80s music, and I still listening to it. I started buying records when I was 13 and I remember some of the first singers/bands I fell in love with:
Howard Jones, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Rick Astley, Johnny hates jazz, Nik Kershaw, Madonna, etc etc.
I remember one day when I was in middle school; we were going to school with the bus, and one of my friends asked the bus driver to play a cassette he had with him. I loved that tape so much and a week later I bought the CD. It was my very fist CD and it was "Famous Last Words" by Supertramp (1982).
Since that day I've been buying CDs. Right now I have a collection of over 2,300 CDs; I can say that 70% of the collection is about the 80s.
When I was 14 I was crazy about Modern Talking, I bought all their records. I know it sounds silly right now; when I listen to them now, I sometimes think...what was I thinking :-/? But hey, I loved them back then ;D
Anyway, I don't know what else to say. I hope I will enjoy my time in this forum, and if you guys have any question, suggestion, comment, anything, just write me :-)
