hello, i'm stereomanic and i found this site through a friend's recommendation. i am also a member of another messageboard, but it isn't quite as alive as this one!

you'll have to excuse my slowness, this place isn't as simple as the types of boards i'm used to! thank you all for your kind welcomes. whistledog, i unfortunately use different names on every board i use, and i also belong to a number of boards so it is hard to keep up!

this doe seem like a very nice place, but it will still take a little while for me to find my feet, so to speak! i have had a look at the in the 80s section of this board, but there is nothing there that realy grabs my attention. i probably sound a little slow for askin, but is there somewhere where everybody can post miscellaneous things? or is it all strictly on-topic only?

Sounds like you need to go to Playful Penguin Place.
There's a sort of FAQ thread either in Lend a Wing or in Penguin News (I forget which). If you can't find the answer there then just ask and someone will answer.
