Greeting runner69. So many cool people have found this place by "accident" that I'm now sure it was not an accident, but destiny. I'm glad you like it here.  have a good time.  8)

Thanks for warning us in London for the 2012 Olympics.

You're welcome. :)

On the bright side...I believe the 1976 Olympics were the most disastrous ever (financially). ;) They should have been self financing, but somebody somewhere screwed up...

Listen to this memorable clipping of what the Mayor promised...  ::)

BTW...we're seriously considering applying for the 2028 Olympics.

Welcome, runner69.  I, too, found this site by accident earlier this year....and have never left!  :)

A cooler, sweeter bunch of people you will never meet.

the olympic stadium has been falling apart the day after it is built. it hasnt been used in years. they say it contains about 10 times the amount of concrete required therefore the structure is far to heavy........its basically a huge pile of abandond junk >:(

Sorry to hear that ^... :(

Not much I can do about it. Maybe some karma will help.  ;)

We've hosted the 1928 Olympics (as none of you will remember from experience...) and our Olympic Stadium has been abandonded/neglected for years as well. There were even plans of tearing it down completely...(which would've been a first). Thank goodness they didn't, and now it's back in use. I'm saying...let's hope times will change for Montreal. :)
