Just heard that the famous NYC bar that gave us The Ramones, Blondie, and Talking Heads is about to be kicked out. Seems that the powers that be want to gentrify The Bowery and CBGB's doesn't fit in with their vision. I never got to see this place, ass I was under 21 the last time I was in New York.

Things like this just plain suck. Damn yuppies!!!! Bet it's going to be a Cabo mexican restaurant/bar. or some other yupperiffic puke stand. I have been to a few downtowns where they have done this sort of thing, and once the excitement dies down they're left with a bunch of crap no one wanted in the first place. That's sad, just plain sad. >:( ,,,,AW
You should see the area they "revitalized" for the Olympics in Atlanta. It looks like a ghost town!! :P
