Subject: Naked Plea for Feedback

Written By: Spaff.com on 10/30/03 at 02:58 p.m.

Howdy. Spaff here with a request. Robert Lund is putting out a Christmas CD with a few non-Xmas bonus tracks on the end. We have to decide by TONIGHT what those bonus songs will be. Would y'all be kind enough to give me your opinion on two things:
(1) Is "Landed on Boardwalk" (http://www.spaff.com/poesy/boardwalk.html) strong enough to be one of the few bonus tracks?
(2) Which of our recordings would you most like to see on CD?

I know I haven't earned your comments recently because I've been gone and unable to reciprocate on y'all's parodies, but please forgive me for that, and I promise to catch up eventually.

I'm not trying to turn this board into a Spaff-fest (not that there's anything wrong with that), so if you'd rather email me, please do so: spaff@spaff.com. For a refresher on what the options are, go to http://www.spaff.com - any title listed with the musical notes next to it is up for consideration. (Ignore those in the Elves Gone Wild column - they're already on the CD.)

Thank you! I'm asking this because I truly value this group's feedback. And I'll make sure that amiright gets mentioned in the liner notes.  :)

I would love to hear the CD!

I think "Landed on Boardwalk" is a pretty good track.  I'm not saying it's bad, but I think you guys have better, IMO.

"Thank U Gilligan", "I Wish I Was Celine Dion", and "Nailing Charlie's Angels" are some bonus tracks I would like to see most.  :)

And "Why's Madonna Kissing Britney Spears", but I assume you're already putting that on the CD.  ;) ;D

Thanks, leebster! The only options, alas, are those that have already been recorded. So Charlie's Angels is an option, but not the others. (The ones to consider are those on www.spaff.com that have the musical notes next to them.)

Thanx, leebie and Rice and those of you who emailed me. Our deadline's been pushed back till first thing in the morning, so if anyone is still awake and willing to pitch in an opinion, I'd love you for it.

if Malcolm Higgins and William Tong haven't managed to turn amiright into their own personal site with almost a thousand parodies each, you have nothing to fear about a few messages in a messageboard about your stuff turning this into a spaff board.

Thanks again to those who posted and/or emailed your suggestions. The non-Xmas bonus tracks on the "Elves Gone Wild" CD will be Jell-o, Superfrog, and Pepsi Blue.

We're hoping that this CD will have a shelf life of more than one holiday season, so we left off stuff that is (or soon will be) dated, e.g., Ben & J.Lo, Madonna & Britney, Wish They All Could Lead California, and - sorry Claude - "Slay Ride." And despite a few requests for Nailing Charlie's Angels, we dropped that because it's a bit too porno.

ChuckyG: I guess you're right - it'll be a long while before my stuff uses as much amiright real estate as others'. Thanks for your tolerance.

Billy: The CD will be unleashed around the 10th or 15th of this month and will be available at www.elvesgonewild.com. I'll keep y'all posted.
