Subject: Other ideas I'm thinking of for amiright
I've got a bit of a head cold at the moment, so I haven't been in a giant rush to do much coding. However, it doesn't stop me from trying to think up new things for amiright when I feel better.
I was thinking about a links section for the artist pages. So for example:
http://www.amiright.com/artists/britneyspears.shtml
would have a section at the end of it, where we link to pages dealing with funny topics related to the artist (but not serious pages) and a "report dead links" link next to each listing to help weed stuff out as it disappears. So for this example, an "I hate Britney Spears" page would be acceptable, the official Britney homepage would not be.
I'm also thinking of breaking the latest comments page down into a "current day" and "past days" listings, so there isn't one gigantic page for the past 5 days worth of stuff.
any opinions on these ideas?
anyone have ideas they'd like to propose?
I'm especially interested in anything which may help boost traffic to the site lately. I think amiright should be more popular than it currently is.

well, I'm thinking of trying out ideas to increase viewers (not writers) and non-parody things as well... never a bad idea to diversify as much as possible. I want to be the source for any funny music stuff basically, not just parodies.

What about a parody schedule, so we will know if the parodies are going to be up for 2 or more days and when?
What also would be helpful is a link to some midi or the song parodied. I know that I don't know all the songs parodied.

It's fun to read those, but not to get one little parody lost in tons of submissions.

parodies go up everyday. The only time they don't is when I can't get half an hour to update the site in the morning. So a schedule wouldn't do much good, since I usually don't know when I'll miss a day until it happens
