the only thing i have against these top 10 lists is we're not like nationally known celebrities who don't really care if we're sexiest woman no. 3 or 30. top tens with average josephine's (joes for you boys) well, we all want a bit of that spotlight and those who think they're known (like me) feel neglected (like me) when they don't make someone else's top ten (like..well you get the point)

Britt... It took a very long  to get a top ten parody.
It felt wonderful to get recognition from the other authors, However....The main reasons that you should write them, is to please yourself. Enjoy the creative process.

You'd be surprised to learn that, what most parody writers consider to be their *Favorite* writings or *Best * works, never make the top 10.

Write them, simply because you enjoy it!
Chances are... people will begin to notice.

Hey, this ain't Project Greenlight.  No HBO/Bravo TV show for us.  More people (8) reviewed my Project Greenlight screenplay than voted on my most popular parody.  We do it because it's fun.  When it stops being fun, we stop doing it.  At the moment, it has lost some of the "fun" for me.

As far as the topic goes, I don't have a favorite based on parodies I've seen...but Melhi's sense of humor always stands out in the crowd.

Yeah, it stands out like a sore thumb because it dresses funny. ;D  Sorry to hear parody writing's lost some of the fun for you, I've enjoyed what you've shared, so far and look forward to reading more, when it's fun again.

(I tried to post this, the other day, but my server went down and when it came back up, several hours later, this site was down.)  As far as my 10 faves go, I wouldn't even know where to begin narrowing it down to so few.  There's such a wide variety of talent, vision, perspective, voice, humor, insight, vocabulary, approach, etc., that trying to pick ten favorites is like trying to choose 10 favorite snowflakes from a blizzard.

I don't know who my top 10 are, it changes from week to week, but this week Syncronos, AussieBullDog, Merry and Pippin and Mike Armstrong are up pretty high for me. I just divide it into song parodies that I like and song parodies that I don't like. And everyone on this site has demonstrated the ability to create both, from where I'm standing. Oh, and thanks for the mention, Adagio. :c)

Thank you for mentioning me Adagio!
I have not sent any new parodies in, for a very long time.
I've been very busy, at my work!
In a month or so, I may have more time for recreation.

Songdiva, I'm flattered that you mentioned me!  As far as favorites parody artists on this site, I don't like to play favorites and do not buy or read People's Best Whatever issues.  Outside of an obvious favoritism towards Rick (Rick, stop twisting my arm!), I'm not going to commit since there's so much talent here.  It would be hard to choose 10 anyway.

You are welcome! Mari!
I hope when I send in parodies again, The others will remember me! :)
