Subject: Agrimorfee Appreciation Week starts on Sunday 1/4

Written By: 2nz on 01/01/04 at 05:18 p.m.

The reason why this is up now is because I'll be on vacation over the weekend. Are there seriously NO Pink Floyd fans out there? I call upon all Pink Floyd fans to check out the man's 'Pile of Bricks' immediately. Read the parody comments to understand that last statement. And I call upon everyone else to help and boost Agri's votes. Right now the average is less than 4 per song. With a contribution of 75 parodies, I find this vote situation unacceptable. So far the parody of 'Mother' is my favorite.      And remember, it's not officially Agri's week until the first Sunday of 2004.

HEY!!!! Agri's week isn't over yet. Thought you all could slowly slide the post onto the second page while I was away, huh? Well, I'm back to enforce and keep it high until Sunday. And once again, CALLING ALL PINK FLOYD FANS. See above for further instructions.

Tried this a few days ago, it didn't go. I felt a kinship with Agri since he came on here like gangbusters, like I did. He shares my love of prog rock, nitpicking and Beatles, and I was blown away when he posted "Karn evil 9" by ELP. I wanted him to know that was almost on our Amiright medely, but I cut it when I decide to do it all on guitar, no keyboards. If and when we do another, he's first on the list. Not being a Pink Floyd fan myself, he can have 'em.

Before the week is out (I don't have access to a PC on the weekend) I just have to extend a hearty Thanks to 2nz for certifying this week as "my" week. 8)  Thanks also go to those who participated.  :-* I don't know if the results that 2nz was hoping for for me did occur, or will occur, ??? but--it's nice to feel appreciated, even for something as non-earth-shaking as this forum.

Again, thanks all. Peace out.

Don't mention it. I've enjoyed all of the parodies that I've looked through so far, and before the week is up, I'm gonna learn some new songs so I can vote on 4 or 5 more. I happen to think Appreciation Week is a really good idea, and I hope everyone who can, especially those who have aleady had a week ;) will support it. And if you feel appreciated, then the week was a huge success. I still really wish someone who knows Pink Floyd would give your 'Pile of Bricks' a look though.

2nz,  another excellent choice.  I had just looked  at the comments from the last few days and wrote down 3 of Agrimorfee's titles to look at when I came over here and saw your suggestion of recognition.   I just got back on-line after about a 10 day Internet exile since my job ended since I'm not on-line at home yet.  On R & R and will be Posting from a friend's for a few weeks and will arrange on-line at home when I go back to L.A. whenever.  Going to look at Agrim's stuff now and will be watching here for more author suggestions.  It is a very fine thing that you do.  Keep it up.

Agri's got a knack for humor and wordplay.  Some of my favorite Agri parodies are "Braunschweiger", "I Am Enormous", and "We Will Shock You".

;D Where were you guys last week? Oh well, you're both busy appreciating and that's what counts. Hear that Agri!? Seems we have two late arrivals. Johnny and Paul were car pooling, Johnny got pulled over several times for speeding in his 'rockin' ride' and Paul was too busy writing page-long comments to check the map. Well, they're here now, they're hungry for some parodies and I thank them both for it.
