Subject: This is a horribly mean site

Written By: Taylor on 01/02/04 at 10:39 p.m.

On this site i agree with few of the thing you people have said, but most are horrible and mean (for example: the one about christiana not whering cloths) The music industry has them pressured to always be suprising and sex idols, how would you surprise millions of people that know so much about you? Music in my opinion is one of the only things and can instanty change my mood and even if some of the lyrics dont make sence i couldn't live without it, could you? So if you want these people to keep making music, because it is one of the only things in the world that everybody listens to, then I think you should start supporting the musicans, and if not that then stop bashing on every thing they do. Every body else got to post their opinions here so please dont delete mine just because it is not the same as yours, let people see it

Quoting:
then I think you should start supporting the musicans, End Quote

I am supporting the musicians.  I LOVE music.  It's, like, the best thing ever.  I support musicians 100%.  They are great people.  It's just fun to make fun of some of them, too.  It's not like they know. ::)

Well, we're not really making fun of the artist, now are we? We just make fun of the songs that they sing. If you wanna think about it technically, we're doing nothing more than writing a funny new song to the beat of an old song. :)

We're not poking fun at them,
We're poking fun with them.
But they just don't know it yet.

We're not mean.  We lack the appropriate media credentials to achieve success at being mean.  We also lack the appropriate entertainment industry credentials to be as annoying as an Eminem or an Aguilera.  If we did either one, we'd be sued, arrested, and unable to hire Johnny Cochran to defend us.  We're not famous, so that makes us average people with average sarcasm.

I want my minute back that I wasted reading that comment.

Oh, music is the universal language, this I've seen, but humor is a close second. I'd like to think we are doing the world a favor by combining them.

Plus it's hilarious to think of someone important actually seeing this site and becoming offended.

yes music is the universal language. that much is true. and there will ALWAYS be the one artist who bashes another one. here you are "preachign" tot he parody artists. have you sent Eminem formal complaints? how about weird al? or U2 for bashing the American "idols"? they are doing no worse than we are, but have the public lime light.

All the song writers and performers who get parodied on this site are generally already successful and their music is already a part of the culture. I have trouble 'being nice' to people who already have more money than most blue collar workers ever will. It's personal expression using the melody of someone elses art to give the personal expression an organized form. But I have written one parody where I'm laughing at, not with, the artists responsible. If anyone's interested, just check for my parody of "Someday" by Nickelback.
