In addition to the Amiright Tribute that Rick and Mari Duncan posted on their music website:

www.soundclick.com/bands/3/radandmadmusic.htm

There is now a new song posted on their website that also has its roots here at Amiright:

"They Flew Beyond the Sky"

When you go to RAD & MAD's website to listen to this new song, be sure to click on "Lyrics/Story" to find out how it came about...

"They Flew Beyond the Sky" is a tribute to all of the astronauts who, over the years of the American space program, have given their lives in pursuit of their dream of extending humanity's reach into space.

The first anniversary of the Columbia space shuttle accident will soon be here...it's an appropriate time to pause and remember those brave men and women who flew beyond the sky.

Thank you, Rick and Mari, for a wonderful musical tribute.

Congratulations Rick and Johnny for the tribute. And Mari and Rick for singing it.  Nice.

Anyone interested in NASA or Aeronautics should give Johnnies' moving lyrics a listen here. Anyone with perfect pitch should understand that RAD and MAD were the best singers we could round up cheap on the day we recorded it.

For some reason SoundClick doesn't want to let me download this... I've tried now in both IE and Opera, and both are failing.  Will try again at some point...

"NASA sets aside day to remember fallen astronauts"

"CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (AP) -- In a small sign of cultural shift, NASA set aside Thursday as a day to remember the Columbia, Challenger and Apollo dead and the tragic consequences of getting it wrong."
