Subject: New Parodies coming up

Written By: ChuckyG on 02/03/04 at 09:11 a.m.

post them in this thread, since the old thread appears to have died.  :P  Sorry for the inconvience, hopefully this won't happen once I upgrade the software (end of the month, or maybe I should just say March)

I posted this on the old thread yesterday.  Since then, it is now on the parody page.  I parodied "People Are Strange" by the Doors, calling it "Fright On The Stage".

I've got a parody of The Eagles' "Heartache Tonight" called "(I Do Not Have a) Parody to Write". It'll be a riot!! :D

New posts from Paul:
"Could You Please Feel My Pain?/Put An End To His Reign"
based on Gordon Lightfoots 1960's song "Did She Mention My Name?"

AND

"Bleat: Workless Blue Guys", based on CSN's classic "Suite:  Judy Blue Eyes" from their 1st album together.

Johnny D - I'm very time limited here so I can't get over to see it today (Public Library until my new PC arrives).  Oh,  you had "edited" version of a parody in the comments that you said was available in non-edited format.  I'll trade you for a CSN un-submittable parody version of "Dark Star" that I wrote.  If interested you can e-mail as noted above.  It may be a day or so before I respond due to aforementioned time limitation on the public Internet PC here.

Okay, for you history buffs out there, please check out the new parody we have coming out tomorrow called "(Royal) People Who Died." Yeah, we know the song is not well known, but I see a few people have done it with moderate success. Even if you DKTS and can't vote, still, comments will be appreciated.

We will also have one called: "Shaggin' is Fine."

Shame on you, Amiright folks, for discriminating against my Jason Voorhees parodies!!!!  :'(  >:(  :o  ???

I expected a HELL of a lot better than this!!!! For shame!!!! My parodies were drop-dead hilarious, no parody on here, not even by Jeff Ruben or STG, is any funnier than these masterpieces!!!

Jason to the tune of Britney Spears's "Toxic" is a hit in the making!!! The lyrics are brilliant, and I thought I'd get fours just for Jason Voorhees decapitating Britney!!!

Jason's Mom is very cheesy, I'll admit it, but I expected at least a 4 in ratings. If I had written only two parodies on here, these would be both of 'em! They are completely FLAWLESS!

Both are gonna be huge, despite what the ratingsw say....

Again, shame on every one of you who voted with 2's and 1's. :'(

I just had to do one to "Bohemian Rhapsody" since about everyone else has.  I call mine "X-Filian Secrecey".  It's about the X-Files, of course.  There was a lot of X-Files information out there. Seems like I can use the subjct to another song.

I have had a string of flops starting with the Jason parodies and ending with a parody of The Great Gig in the Sky. The good news is that I'm back with a hit parody that is gonna throw every other parody on here out of the water.

I have a new parody for tomorrow, "Mandy Moore" to the tune of Sepultura's heavy metal hit, "Mindwar." I thought it would be controdictory for a heavy metal band to be linked to a pop singer.

Whee! I finally got another parody under my belt, after seemingly months of false starts. It's a parody of No Doubt's In My Head, about the nasty evil abhorrent chem test I took this morning. Well, technically yesterday morning, but you know what I mean...

On that note, I have all but 3 1/2 lines of a parody to Coldplay's "a rush of blood to the head" done. And it's freaking pissing me off, cause I can't get the last bit >:(.

Tomorrow, I have two new parodies that will knock your socks off!

"Are You Really Britney Spears?" to the tune of Steely Dan's "Reeling in the Years" is a song about people who claim to be Britney Spears and how I try to prove them wrong

"He is the Boogeyman" is the opening song from my upcoming operetta based on the movie, Halloween.

They are both gonna be huge! :D

Also, I am planning on breathing life back into my formerly cancelled Horton Hears a Who rock opera, based on the music of The Who. The next song from that musical will be "Horton" to the tune of "Bargain." It will also be huge! :D

Subject: My Eyes X-Rayed You

Written By: Johnny_D on 02/24/04 at 12:31 a.m.

(submitted to be posted on Wednesday, February 25)

My new parody's title is "My Eyes X-Rayed You".  It's a parody of Frankie Valli's 1970's tune "My Eyes Adored You".

"My Eyes X-Rayed You" is sung from the point of view of Clark Kent/Superboy in Smallville, as he's going through adolescence while keeping a sharp eye on how Lana Lang is progressing through her own adolescence...

In the parody’s top and bottom comment boxes, I provide links to two free online audio samples of the original song “My Eyes Adored You”.

The "Walmart" sample covers the last third of the song but not the chorus; the "Amazon" sample covers the chorus of the song.

The “Walmart” sample works OK.

If the “Amazon” sample doesn’t seem to work for you, try the following:

(1)      Right-click the link to the Amazon Windows Media sample.

(2)      Pull-down to “Properties”.

(3)      Cut-and-paste the URL of the sample into your browsers’ address bar.

(4)      Hit Enter.

(5)      After hitting Enter, click the “Go” button to the right of your browser’s address bar.

Thanks very much, everybody!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Kind of an experiment submitted for the next batch of new parodies...  hopefully, it won't read like an experiment gone horribly awry to anyone who doesn't know that.  Anyway, if I did it right, just when the chorus seems to be addressing one thing, you'll get a new piece of info that makes you think it might be addressing something else, entirely.  Anyway, it's called "Dad Got Married" and it's to Frank Sinatra's "Love and Marriage" (aka the Married With Children theme song.)

Modifying to add:

I submitted 3 new parodies this evening as part of my personal Parody Project based on the first Crosby, Stills & Nash album from 1969.  BTW, that brings me to 7 songs out of the 10 on the album now.  I have mentioned in a few places that I'm writing these pieces with a unifying theme. Goofy as it sounds the theme I chose was THUMBS, making the name of this Parody Project "CSN, The Thumb Album".  I took this on part as a lark and part as a challenge.  At this point I am frankly stunned at how much I've enjoyed doing this.  I'm tempted to brag on about them - instead I'll just list the titles:  "Thumb-in-ear" based on "Guinnevere", "Thumb-Thing In The Way; Removed Me(Wooden Thumbs)", based on "Wooden Ships", and lastly (and I think the best), "Only 9 Fingers(Missing A Thumb)", based on "49 Bye-Byes".  If you give this a look I think you will be pleasantly surprised, even you do not know the Original Song.  Hope you all enjoy,  Thanks.

Very nice title, Johnny!

Anyway, I finally finished a song I started about two months ago, about a current-at-the-time event. It involves 4 people from my school being stupid (and probably drunk) and burning someone's artwork they'd left over break, which happened to be in the shape of a cross. Bit ironic that we just had a more serious parody about cross burning a couple days ago, but this one they certainly didn't mean to "burn a cross," as such; they just felt like burning something.

Anyway, it's a parody of Coldplay's "Rush of Blood to the Head" entitled Lack of Brains in the Head. Hope people like it, and thank god I finally got it finished, cause I've been trying to for ages ;-).

Here's a couple that ought to be up in the new entries for Thursday, April 1st - my 54th birthday as I have mentioned in about 25 places on the site over the last couple of months; no gifts or special favors requested.  Just being alive and well and able to participate here is a gift in itself.

"Cinnamon-Swirl Colonic", based on Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl"

&

"Wastrel of the Mall", based on Gordon Lightfoot's "Minstrel of the Dawn".

Today, I have up my first parody in a while, with the possible exception of my April Fool's Day joke about Britney Spears remaking The Wall album and The Breakfast Club movie.

I figured Tommy Tutone should use the Internet to contact Jenny in my latest send-up, "jenny@aol.com (Jenny's Email Address)", a parody of Tommy Tutone's "867-5309."

It's gonna be huge! :D

Tomorrow, look for my parody of a parody by Weird Al. I fell for Chucky's mean, cruel, yet very clever prank (Weird Al is gonna perform one of our songs...).

It's a parody of Al's "I Lost on Jeopardy" called "I Fell For April Fool's". At least the word "parody" rhymes with "Jeopardy."

It's gonna be huge! :D

I decided to jump on the recent "Sister Golden Hair" parody bandwagon!

I just submitted, for tomorrow's (Thursday's) posting, a parody of America's "Sister Golden Hair".

My parody's title is "Stupid Human Trick".  It's about a guy who goes on David Letterman's Late Show and... well... RAFO!

When I was doing a parody search for all of the "Toxic" parodies, I found one called "Cheap Trick," but it wasn't about the rock group of the same name. That's where I came in.

Whenever Chucky updates again, look for my parody of Britney Spears's "Toxic" called "Cheap Trick (Yes that Cheap Trick)." It jokingly disses the band, althought I don't really hate the band.

It's gonne be huge whether you like Rick Nielsen or not! :D

This parody is my equivalent of Elvis Costello's album, When I Was Cruel. This parody returns me to what made my songs hits in the first place.

"I Hate the Easter Bunny" to the tune of Pink Floyd's "Money."

I have decided that contrary to what South Park might have you believe, Canada is NOT to blame.

Mexico is.

Our neighbors south of the border have benefitted from us pouring our mistrust and scorn to our northern neighbors. Blame Canada. Canadian Bacon. Molsen ice! Wer have paid too much attention to our northern neighbors, allowing Mexico to thrive in our ignorance. I promise to address this serious foreign policy issue...with this parody.

Speaking as a concerned AmIRight contributor, I feel the "Uranus" joke is being driven into the ground and beaten to death.  Therefore, I feel that I must implore: "Please No More Uranus"! (To the tune of Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It")
