Subject: No updates on Saturday/Sunday

I won't be able to due an update on either day, so I'm sure if you submit something on either of those days it will get buried in a massive update on Monday morning.

I also posted a message on the submission page, so hopefully people will get the hint that submitting this weekend is probably not the best idea.

This is the perfect opportunity for more folks to try what I like to do from time to time - surf through the Amiright Song Parody Archives and read, vote, and comment on older parodies that have moved-off the list of parodies posted in the most recent two-week period!

You can do this in many different ways:

(1) Pick a decade and wander through the lists of postings, checking out parodies whose titles catch your eye;

(2) Pick a particular group/artist and use the "Search" feature to list every parody posted for their original songs;

(3) Pick a particular original song title and use the "Search" function to list every parody posted for that original song;

(4) Use the "Random" function and see what comes up;

(5) Use the "Parody Authors List" and randomly select an author and go check out their posted parodies;

(6) Pick a key-word (could be anything, a celebrity's name, a part of the body, a famous something-or-other, an animal, anything at all) and use the "Search" function to find all parodies that have that word in their lyrics.

(7) Or come up with your own plan!

Excellent suggestion Sir Johnny;  yes, it's me - I've returned home and come up for air but all I got was a snoot-full of smog (just kidding, actually it's beautiful here the last couple days,  clear,  breezy, low 60's daytime, kinda chilly at night (for L.A. - that means it's dipped into the upper 30's a little).  I'm using the Public Library facility which is neat but I can't get used to this keyboard,  the space bar needs to be WHACKED or the words run together.  Guess I'd complain if you hung me with a new rope.   Just a brief visit right now,  but tomorrow I will strive to Glide over and find the "Archive Hive" and see what type of sweet goo I can immerse my brain in.

Warning about that part: if you look at a certain decade there will be some parodies listed that don't belong there; for example, I'm sure that there are some 80s songs listed in the 90s section and vice versa. My point is, it would be misleading to find stuff in the wrong place. I know that Chucky "removed" the decades back in October, but I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. I also know that we've been through this before.

Whoops, am I going too far off topic?
