It was great fun to meet Malcolm, and Mrs. Higgins.

Malcolm said that they were planning another Florida trip in May, so if any AmIwriters are in the vacinity, let us know !

So what is old Malcolm doing these days?  He doesn't comment a lot on the songs anymore.  We'd love to hear from you Malky, where are you hiding?

Wow. Everyone looks so pleasant and normal! :)

I had pictured Malcom Higgins looking like Iggy Pop.

Great Pic!!!

Out of curiosity, is Malcolm as funny in real life as he seems through his parodies?  Thats one author I'd like to meet...not that I wouldn't like to meet Wildman and Diva as well... ;D

We haven't heard from Malcolm for a while..
I know he runs his own business in Toronto.... and for fun and relaxation he's the lead singer in an AC-DC style band named Jailbreak. He gave us a demo, and they sound just like AC-DC!
They have very active family life, and they're  involved in many sports. How he finds time to write parodies at all, is a mystery! Still, he manges to put a few out, now and then.

I have heard from Malcolm recently, and I emailed him just yesterday to let him know that his picture was posted here and that he ought to pop onto the board and check in. No reply so far today tho'. But I am sure he will turn up when he is ready to. :)

Yes, I believe we are "normal" people, who all become a bit eccentric when writing in our  parodies. Let's face it, the freedom of thinking --out of the box-- can be expressed so well in our humor. Malcolm is a very outgoing and pleasent person.

It's so paradigm-shattering (how's that for corporate-speak?) when you've gotten familiar with personalities who are just words on a page, and suddenly they gain actual FACES. Whoa.

Cool pic! And ditto the one of RAD & MAD & P-Rob & LeLo & Bob Frickin' Gomez. Thanx, y'all, for sharing.

Isn't it?  I usually have a completely different image in my mind of the authors.  That's my reaction...Whoa!

Hey, that's my reaction every time I see a mirror. I say "Who's that old geezer?" On a humorous aside, I went to a chinese restaraunt the other day, and they had a full length mirror--- behind the toilet! I had to sit down! I don't know about you, but I don't like watching a middle aged dude take a leak.

Would it have been any better if the mirror had been on the wall directly opposite the toilet, so that when you sat down you could check your facial grooming whilst taking a load off?

Rick, reminds me of a story (I believe it is true) involving this Jazz musician, Jim C.  that I met in the 1970's.  The 70's were not exactly a real great time to be a jazz musician, that is if you liked work and money in any way.  So he wound up working at our Car Wash in North Hollywood as an Assistant Manager for a year or so. Great guy -  but as you could imagine he was not totally thrilled with the trajectory of his life, being in his mid-40's at the time.  Anyway,  he went out drinking after work one night, got home late and completely shit-faced drunk and passed out...woke up a few hours later and needed to take a leak.  wandered over to the bedroom mirror and starting peeing while looking at himself in the mirror there. He said he was fully aware that he was not in the bathroom and was basically "pissing at himself".  What he WASN'T fully aware of was that he had been relieving himself into one of his work boots...
