Subject: audiostreet.net--former mp3.com users take note

Written By: agrimorfee on 03/04/04 at 06:45 a.m.

www.audiostreet.net is up and running, as a viable substitute for the defunct mp3.com. Like mp3.com, they offer a number of different services to host your own songs--from 3 songs for free, to 100 songs for $19.99 a month. They are extremely user-friendly. It took me an hour the other day to register, log-in, make an artist page and upload two of my tracks. N.B.: I work on a cable modem hook-up; your mileage may vary). Songs are available to stream/download within minutes.

They do not have an artist payment service yet, but are working on it.

The only drawback I have found thus far is they require a .jpg or .gif for an Image on your artist page. If you don't happen to have one, you are out of luck (hence, the crappy pic I ended up using)  :o ;D.

If you care to hear what my "Holyday" and "Freshman's Blues" sound like as original songs that avoid copyright infringement-- or to see what I look like-- go to my Audiostreet page here: http://www.audiostreet.net/agrimorfee

Cheers.
