Hi Ethan. I don't know. I've just seen how many people keep going on and on about politics, using somebody's parody comments to do it. I just thought it would be helpful, if once the conversation starts getting lengthy, they could "step outside", and discuss it here. Since this thread is on Song Parodies, it might be easier to locate. Thanks for writing. Peace

I guess that technically Ethan may be right but I would be more than happy to see such thread on this board which is I suspect a board that many of the political commentators touch base with regularly...it takes a lot of time to keep up with all the boards.. and reading parodies etc I think I must start cutting down .. although it is really good fun cos i have hardly written a thing since I discovererd thus great website!!

A good idea i suppose, but it's going to take some doing for people to acutally utilize it. Heated debates usually don't allow for the intelligence and frame of mind to LEAVE a room and walk TO ANOTHER ONE (electronically speaking). Que sera sera...

I think it's a great idea. I was really somewhat embarrassed recently when a 'discussion' I became a part of cluttered up one of Royce Miller's pieces. I really tried to avoid going back to that thread but could not see any other way to correct what I thought were some misrepresentations being attributed to me. I think the conversation would have ended sooner, too, if the 'discussion' took place somewhat more privately. For one thing, I would have been willing to let the last couple of misrepresentations stand without comment on a separate thread, but did not want incorrectly presumed statements of my positions or opinions to stand unanswered on the main comment board.
