Subject: Song recordings

I finally got around to highlighting them on the top of the website. If you happen to go through the archive and notice a few old ones that no longer link to anything, let me know and I'll try and get them removed. I already picked off a few, but I can't test much while I'm at work.

As many of you know, many of our songs and the Amiright things we're contributing is on Soundclick. com. It is free and easy to sign up, post and link to this site. Ethan Mawyer just got on. As far as copyright law goes, I believe no one cares unless you either make money, or make someone look bad in a high profile way and they have some reason and means to sue. There is a lot of buzz on this site about an "Amiright Album". I have the means and gumption to assist and even co-ordinate such a project (though not the legal or promotion skills) But an alternative to that would be to step up the recordings and performance aspect of this site, until we accumulate enough good stuff to put on. I am looking forward to assisting those of you that have some singing or playing chops, but limited means to make decent recordings. I hate Kareoke tapes. Feel free to ask me how we can help and we'll work something out. In the meantime, check out our recordings so you get an idea what we can do.

I've got singing chops, and they're getting a good workout these days as I rehearse my part in The Concord Players' upcoming production of "1776".... so I'm game to sing on a parody recording of either my parodies or anyone else's. I sing either tenor or baritone depending on the music and how my voice is feeling that day...  ;D

P.S. My voice is best-suited for musical comedy, rock, and folk music.

Listen to the man.  The recording he just did of one of my songs is absolutely fantastic.

Thanks Claude. A song I already know is very easy to knock off. I would have done the Bob Seger one, but you try singing like that. That's why I'm open to other vocalists. You don't have to be a great singer to be funny (example Jeff Reuben "I Got to Pee Now" Or Phil's "Mend my PC") But I know Mari and I could have given them more "fun" backing tracks for those.

Ooh! I want some good backing to sing to! Course most of the songs I've parodied kind of need more than a guitar, unfortunately...
