Subject: speaking of bugs...

My excitement at finally having finished another parody was dulled somewhat when I went to submit it, and after filling in all the text boxes in the first page (submit.shtml), the following text got added into the bottom comments box in display_parody.cgi, rather than being parsed as html.

All right, we´ll hand you the best-computer-related-parody award right away. Just one question though: What original song are we supposed to sing it to?  :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D

Wow....I'm glad that didn't happen to me, and I'm even a minor techy! :o I was thinking of naming my band Parse Error & The T-Strings, since I kept on getting an error message like that when I was trying to get my forums up and running..... Maybe it's just me, but Parse sounds like a fruit and T-String sounds like some kind of bikini....

maybe there was a " or > in there or something that didn't get interpreted as part of the parody and instead looked like HTML.  I thought there was something in there to convert all those characters and prevent stuff like that from happening, but maybe a field is getting overlooked or something.

Heh... I have always dreamed of writing a parody that would compile in some language or another. No idea how I'd do it, but it would be really amusing.

Oh, and I found the problem. Turns out I forgot the end " in my link tag. Now I feel all stupid...

Oh, I've written lots that compile... not that they scan, rhyme or mean very much.  Or are even parodies, come to think of it ;)

It'd be an interesting challenge, methinks...
