What really cracks me up is that the guy in bed in the picture is reading "The Urantia Book" (Johnny, do you know what that is?)

Vaguely ... I've never read it, but in my own newage-wanderings I'm seen it here and there from time to time.  I think it's some sort of religio-mystico-philosopho-taco-burritto-buttafuoco-bookem-danno about various cosmic and metaphysical topics.

I have a copy. It is supposedly an "inspired by God" explaining how the universe "government" works. It also contained sections explaining where the Bible "got it wrong", so christians hate it. What is interesting to me is that it is more coherent than scientology, yet hasn't garnered a big following. (At least enough to be understood when featured in an ad)

Well, I'm certainly open-minded about it....please don't let my goofy "philosopho-taco-etceteraco-" comment convince you that I'm not.

I've read "A Course In Miracles" and I thought it had a lot of very good advice and wise things to say.  So, I'm open to the possibility that "The Urantia Book" might have some good information in it as well.

I simply haven't read it, and I must admit that I'm a bit jaded on a lot of American "New Age" culture, due to rampant commercialism and potential fraud.

However, I'm more open-minded than most people know.  Although you've seen me post parodies with extremely devotional Christian motifs, I am absolutely NOT a fundie ... in fact, in addition to having received the Christian initiations of baptism & confirmation (Roman Catholic), I have also received Tibetan Buddhist initiations and Hindu shaktipat (a Hindu initiation that awakens one's spiritual life-energy) .... all of those initiations, Christian & Buddhist & Hindu, are extremely important to me in my private, personal, inner spiritual life.

So, I would certainly consider something like "Urantia" with an open mind, if I was curious about it.

I don't think anyone could accuse you of being close minded, Johnny.

There, I just did.

(JD, you know I'm kidding, right?)

Or did you mean he needs to have his clothes mended?

You know that bird looks like it belongs to Jerry Seinfeld's ex -- you know, the one with the man-hands?  You'd think someone with such expert MS Paint skills could draw a somewhat more feminine-looking paw.  It almost looks like it could be Vin D's paw, except I know he'd never wear that shade...

I would, except that you'd probably write a parody about it.  And I value my privacy too much to let that happen.

Hmmm "Eat_sheesh and live" to "Live and Let Die", perhaps? ;)

When you were young
And got mad
At some stupid fool

You used to say, eat_sheesh and die...

You know you did,
You know you did,
You know you did...

But as sophistication grew in your derision,
Now a new curse you give ...
... to eat_sheesh and LIVE!

Eat_sheesh and LIVE!
Eat_sheesh and LIVE!
Eat_sheesh and LIVE!

What does it matter to ya?
When you've got a slob to screw you gotta screw 'em well
You gotta give 'em coprophagic HELL !!!!
