Subject: Chucky, there's a spammer in the works

Written By: agrimorfee on 05/24/05 at 7:59 am

Chuck, if you'll look iin the articles section--or via Commennts--you'll see someone (or something) is posting a solicitation to a poker website, just FYI.

Best way to contact Chucky is by PM.

I found it..

I had to implement a banned word list, and put the word poker in there, they're so persistent.  They're clearly using some hijacked machines to do it, since the IP keeps changing.

Probably only a temporary solution. I'm going to have to do a captcha type system to slow them down in the future (the thing where you need to read nunbers from an image and then enter them into the field).

I'd love to have 20 minutes alone with a spammer and a baseball bat.

I'm assuming you're the one holding the baseball bat, Chucky - otherwise, too much information!  :-[

Or... I guess you can just start a thread.  Either way.

PM is best.  I had already found it by the time I spotted the thread.

I don't like S&M - they're too expensive. I'd rather shop at Argos

no... in S&M your partner has a safety word to prevent permanent harm.  I would certainly prefer to leave long last damage to these parasites.

When I get my 20 minutes alone with one of them, I'm wrapping my bat in barbed wire.
