Hey Josh....
I'm not British (I'm an Aussie) but I live in London. I'm actually going to attempt to organise a get together of UK based writers early in the New Year. Although the Americans outdo us in sheer numbers, we "foriegn" writers have a pretty strong voice on Amiright.

I'm a Brit, originally from "oop north" in Lancashire, now living "darn sarf" in London.

Now, *that* is good news... looking forward to it, and fingers crossed I'll be able to get there :)
I'm a Brit, too (as you may have guessed ;), currently living in High Wycombe, right under that cloud of smoke you may have seen in the news recently

I appear to fit the 'British Writer' criteria perfectly; born, raised and currently living in Sunderland, which is situated next to *cough* Newcastle in the North East of the country

... it is good to see that you are following in the tradition of Dylan Thomas, Roald Dahl, Dick Francis, Ken Follet, and other great Welsh writers.
And Super Furry Animals! ;)

I'm a Brit, from England, m'fraid, I was born "darn sarf" but live "oop norf" nowadays. That and my parents are both midlanders, so I'm pretty much English Pot Pourri. A lot of my parodies carry Americanisms, however - often by mistake more than anything (although there's a fair element of Britishness too, e.g. "Honest Guv" in my Roxette parody).

Dude, you're a local! I live just up the road in Wandsworth; I do most of my shopping at the Bentall Centre. Actually, I know the area very well...used to live in Hampton Hill, and drank at The Anglers.

London seems obvious, Martha...but perhaps that's coz I live there and it'd be easier for me to get home. ;)....any suggestions? I know how hard it is to organise social events with people you already know well, and who live in the same place...so this is going to be a doozy. What I'll do is come up with a date (late Feb/early March?) and a venue, and if you can make it, please come. If people know when they definitely can't be available, post on this thread in the next week or so. K

Ahh.. the Bentall Centre... I know it well.. spend far too much money in there :-)
Not overly familiar with the Anglers, although the name rings a bell - is that the one by Teddington Studios?
