Subject: "Bottom Comments" section not working

Written By: Meriadoc on 12/20/06 at 6:58 pm

Everytime I try to put "The Song Parody Page of Merry & Pippin" in the bottom comments part when submitting a parody, it never shows up. It used to work just fine, but the last couple dozen times I've submitted it is always missing. When Pippin submits a parody, it comes out every time. A couple of parodies ago I even took a screen dump just before hitting 'process' to prove to Pippin that I put it in:

So why won't it work for me?

Oh - here is the URl so you can see it clearer:

You are missing the second quotation mark in the URL. You have this:

<a href="http://www.merryandpippin.com>The Song Parody Page of Merry & Pippin</a>

you need this:

<a href="http://www.merryandpippin.com">The Song Parody Page of Merry & Pippin</a>

Also, typing it on notepad (= no smart quotes) is probably best.

Yes, remember that mistake many times back when I used HTML to build my pages. . .so simple, which is what makes it so frustrating, simple is harder to find than a glaringly obvious mistake.

All right - who broke into my PC and stole my right-hand quote marks...? They were there before... Anyone? Confess!  :-[  ::)
