Subject: Has anybody got a Major-General backing track?

Written By: philbo on 04/02/07 at 7:03 am

...without vocals, that is.

Maybe a decent MIDI... Rick D ran me up one for my "Business Analyst" song, but I've lost it in a change of computers somewhere down the line.

Maybe we ought to start a "backing track" resource somewhere - hey, Dave, any web space free? ;)

Yes, and it is going to be a feature of badave.com, barring any more major colds it should be ready by my Birthday at the latest (that's April 23rd)

Thanks, JD - I've already got that one.  Maybe it's only the MIDI mapping on this PC, but it sounds dreadful.  I have a composing package to run it through to tweak levels or maybe choose different instruments - may be worth a try.

Better try and make sure you hold non-copyright tracks, though.  Wouldn't want you being shut down by the RIAA.

I'll be significantly altering them. . .changing notes and other such to be on the safe side.

I've also got one of Rick's  2 versions a piano sound and a synth strings sound  but it fits the Tom Lehrer Chemical song parody
