Subject: 'One Hit Wonder' parodies
Written By: Jason on 09/30/07 at 10:09 am
I wonder if there are any authors who have submitted a really good first parody, then disappeared for good; never to be seen again.
Here is one example
'My Bedrooms A Sty - CTRomulus' - (parody of American Pie - Don McLean)
http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmclean121.shtml
Apparently that was his first and only parody and CTRomulus was never to be seen again.........
I wonder if there are any other parodies of this nature around.
Jason.

Hard to tell if the same "Dave" ever submitted another parody, but this one is (I think) the all time most voted on parody at AmiRight:

This is a one hit wonder as well:

Thanks for those links Jack. Ive never seen a parody with so many votes on it! Its a shame Dave didn't enable comments on his parody.
Jason.

The Napster Pie parody predates comments - it would have needed Dave (whoever he be) to come back and request comments be enabled.
