Subject: The Amiright Presidential Election Special

Written By: agrimorfee on 10/29/08 at 7:52 am

My fellow Americans---(EDIT: and international friends :))

In this thread, stump for your favorite candidate by linking your best parody about them, or your favorite by someone else...

--or link up your favorite trash-talking parody of the opposing candidates...

--or link up your favorite parody discussing the Bush Administration, as we say goodbye (and good riddance) to perhaps the least-approved president in history.

Help, I'm Barack http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/themothersofinvention0.shtml

EDIT:  OS at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_KBqoktTl0

And don't forget to VOTE ON NOVEMBER 4th IF YOU CAN'T PARTICIPATE IN EARLY ELECTION PROCEEDINGS IN YOUR STATE.

I am Agrimorfee, and I approved this thread.

Hey.. .I'm not a fellow American, but I have got the occasional election parody (one of my first submissions to amiright was actually about the 2000 election, and I did a whole load for the last one, too).

For example...
**** Sarah Palin (to "Always a Woman")

..but Ag, you could at least have chosen a couple of songs I'd heard before ;)

Never hurts to get a non-Epic epic parody back out there again.  Not specifically about Bush, but about one of his really bad ideas

As for my choice, Obama Said http://www.amiright.com/parody/90s/lennykravitz19.shtml

I just did my first ever recording, it's this parody, and like most of the stuff I throw together at the last minute, will be irrelevant in less than a week.  ;D

Dangit. I couldn't get it to play for me. It's probably a user error, though, so I'll keep trying.

Meanwhile, here's my contribution: "Sarah Palin vs. The Flobots" - a parody of Flobots' "Handlebars" performed by Robert Lund f/ Mercy Malick:

If that's too partisan, watch for my "none of the above"-themed parody on Amiright (and TheFuMP.com) on Tuesday.

Thanks, Ag!  (And I must say, that was the first virtual standing O I've ever received.  And... maturity.)

This is a bit last minute and more about rallygoers than the candidates themselves, but I'm convinced that it's much better than the reception it's received so far would indicate

I rather rushed this one: came up with the idea yesterday evening, but realized I'd have to submit it straight away before it became passé: The Maverick Song (to the Lumberjack song)
