Subject: SIMs Music Videos

Written By: Matthias on 11/23/11 at 8:35 pm

Sorry Rex, I couldn't find a decent Batman Sim to work with (although I might just use video clips and set it to your song because that would totally work).

As for The Sims music video I'm going to do I'm going to have to go with something a lot simpler...
Back to the drawing board.

Actually I think I'm going to make a video for Rex's "Born to be Wild" parody because it's perfect for a music video.

After I release this one I think the next one I'm going to do is Rex Ungericht's "WAKE ME UP" to Evanescene's "Bring Me To Life"

Coming soon!

Let me know what other songs you all would like to see turned into music videos

Will check!

By the way (in the realm of using other collaborators material for vids) I have been trying to get in touch with Below Average Dave...I left a PM on inthe00s.com and a message on his (very likely too old) website, but no response. I wanted to ask him for his permisssion to use the recordings of parodies that I wrote but he sang on my own Youtube channel. Any insights?

To be fair... I used "A Horny Geek" without getting permission from Jeff Reuben or EmiLoca. I just kinda went for it.
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission in my opinion

I see that. 8) I am more concerned though that he used the music tracks with the permission from that European company he talked about.

If you wanna spend the time to record and video-up one of my silly parodies who am I to argue about that, though I take it the smurf gay porn ones aren't suitable any which way one could ever imagine (or try hard not to ever imagine again).

All jokes aside, and I don't know how the music side works, but from a simplicity perspective this short one shouldn't be to hard asumming there's sheep to use in Sim/Sims:

I don't record the music for the music videos so the only one I could use by you would be that one recorded by RED ANT "Reindeer Horn Buyers Get Elk Poop For Free"

If I were to ever make a video of one of your parodies, it would be likely recorded in my living room with a single camera and performed a capella. But that is not in my wheelhouse of projects for the time being.  :)

OK. I understand. Feel free to use that one. Though visually there's more going on in every two lines in that one (if you're to follow the lyrics even somewhat) than in the entirety of a song about a guy being chased Benny Hill style by a flock of sheep. :-)

Have you by any chance considered using Source Filmmaker or Garry's Mod? The Sims is fine and all, but most of them content creators tend to lean more towards SFM. I do know it does take quite a learning curve but it's worth the extra effort.

I'd be looking forward to whatever you come up on SFM lol. BTW, could you check your Facebook mailbox please? I do have some suggestions but idk if Chucky would mind.
