Subject: Need an example of extreme rhyming

Written By: Rex on 04/29/12 at 10:48 am

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a parody verse or two where the parody rhymes most every word in the original. Anyone have/know of such verses? My eternal gratitude is waiting for everyone who can provide examples.

I THINK I achieved that in the third stanza here: (the word "idol" remains from the OS)

  - Steve Goodie, Dumbledore, 2010.

His 2010 parody of Weird Al's (previously-thought-to-be-impossible-to-perform-live) Hardware Store blows me away.  He nails the rhyming scheme, meter, and manages to tell the story of Harry Potter, and can perform it live.

It's not a 100% rhyming match (i.e. making each line of the parody rhyme with the same line of the original) on every line, but he gets it very close (if you'll accept that he reuses "hair", "care", and "arrive") especially on the second half of the first verse:

Weird Al: Air/Hair/Care/June/Arrive/Inside/Soon
Steve Goodie: Anywhere/Hair/Care/Room/Arrive/Horrified/Broom
