ONE WEEK NOTICE!
On Friday September 14th 2018 there will be a parody from me on the front page of Amiright. As this final week's One Week Notice host I'm now inviting you (Yes, that means YOU!) to write one too, then post it for the same day.
It will be based on:
Song Title - "The End (Came Easy)" (1978)
Artist - City Boy
YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtdIsBpouAI
It's the last song (almost an outro) on the album and it starts at 44:10. The very last line (spoken/radio) doesn't count to the song, it's a repeat of what opens the whole album.
Ambition took care of him right to the end
Ambition, his mother, his wife and a friend
And the end came easy
So the news ran loose, and they called out his name
And the front page put him on Memory Lane
But there was no-one there to see

My parody will be called "Made two and fifty" - appropriate I think since this is round 52.

Great! I was hoping we'd get some more smurf action. "The Smurfs (Are Easy)" was actually one of my initial ideas - until a sub for the first word "ambition" sent me in anoter direction. Now we'll just have to see if Agrimorfee writes one about stepping on smurfs... I mean doggy doo... while out walking.

For the Doors parody, I had to cheat to cram all the best lines into the song. Jim was one hell of a writer. ;D
