I promise my next entree won't have anything to do with college (school still, just not college ;-)). And after an E that does again, F won't even have anything to do with school at all. I have written a lot of school-centric parodies, haven't I? Hmm...

Could I suggest that we extend our voting through maybe next Friday (the 30th), due to loss of the board?  Chime in with your thoughts.

That's fine,  I think everyone understands the priorities involved,  but can you clarify if that means Friday, May 7th or Friday,  May 14th?  I think mentioning the actual date instead of just "Friday" would reduce the number of questions you are having to field,  especially when people see your comment at some point after your posting date.

Thanks.

OK--my Official Vote for the "C" Round is here.  There was quite a battle this go-round--I go for laughs, which were provided most heartily by Spaff, Blo-Town and Phil. Taking topicality and creativity into account, Spaff is my choice by a nose (or, at least, by a tongue :D). Continue on, kids!

Very much drawn between Ciggies, Car Man, Chicken Tenders and Can Full O' Mace... I'm going to go with Jan's "Chicken Tenders" because as well as being funny, it makes a point that I think ought to be made (and I nearly went for "Ciggies" for exactly the same reason).

As always, I enjoyed y'all's entries. Many gems.

As much as I hate to feed the ego machine that is Claude 4 Prez, I'm afraid I must; "Can Full o'Mace" happens to be one of my favorite parodies on the whole site.

I am still confused... I thought that Ethan meant voting for round C started on Friday the 7th, but I see people already voting. If it closes tomorrow I am never gonna make it to vote - it is already bedtime here and tomorrow I have a full and hectic day...  :\'( I actually had half the C voting done when the board got shut down, and then I never got back to it and then people submitted more stuff and I ahve to find the songs...    :-\\

Ethan,  I know you are busy with school but I don't see a voting thread yet and I thought today was the deadline.  I could use a little more time anyway.  I've just starting evaluating the "C"'s now and will be posting some comments and votes this afternoon and then later tonight after I get back from an engagement I have for dinner.   I trust it will be OK to finish all this up sometime tomorrow (Sat. 05/08/04).  With the contest growing and so many entries I think maybe the time frame of this contest should be longer than the originally proposed 1 week.  But whatever  you want to do is OK,  I appreciate your taking the initiative to propose and manage  this.   Thanks...pr

I think Ethan will be posting the voting thread today, and then we have until mid day next Friday to submit our votes. I  did manage to listen to all the songs last night and have it narrowed down to 4. I imagine Ethan will also be posting the new submissions thread for D today.

I think a week is manageable - but with the board being down everyone was away and then out of synch when they came back - I know I was... :P
