Oh yeah, Crap by Philbo gets my vote ;D

Wait, is this a 3-2-1 point system or just vote for one?

I'm voting for Mike Armstrong (again) #17 For "Crap". I think it deserves recognition in a tough group of some of my faves.

So Ethan,  the voting for the "C" round closed NEXT Friday, May 14th, is that correct?  I'm wading my way through the C's, trying to give every song a good read,  but it's taking me a while.  Since it looks like I have more time now I guess I will break for now and do some more later in that case.  Whew!

My vote goes to Claude Prez's HILARIOUS masterpiece "Can Full O' Mace" !!

Apparently my earlier vote was disqualified because dumbass me posted it in the wrong thread. Suddenly that whole Florida presidential fiasco makes sense. Anyhoo, I'll try this again:

Can Full o'Mace

#16. Jan Unwin's "Chicken Tenders"

A great big hooah to Rick Duncan for seeing the brilliance of the MA "crap"

and oh... my vote goes to phil's "crap" with several honorable mentions. I liked "chicken fingers" a lot too.

I'm withdrawing from this one - not enough time to view all the excellent parodies.
I'll be back later on when things quiet down around here...

I liked Mike Armstrong's "Crap" a lot (along with a few others), but I'm gonna have to go with Phil's "Crap".  It was the "Crap"-piest.

Realized I put my vote in the wrong thread...

Very much drawn between Ciggies, Car Man, Chicken Tenders and Can Full O' Mace... I'm going to go with Jan's "Chicken Tenders" because as well as being funny, it makes a point that I think ought to be made (and I nearly went for "Ciggies" for exactly the same reason).

Oops.

so far this has been the highest quality round of the abcs contest in my opinion... and i'm a bit partial to parodies of new songs as some people may have noticed so i'm going with lucky #7... crazy from drugs by blo-town

time to count votes again... next time please put the number next to your choice it makes it easier:

8: 4
18: 6
7,21,17,16: 1 apiece

And claude's can full o mace wins. which means: no more c4p because he's reached his limit in 2 rounds. so now maybe more people will enter since we all have a little bit of a chance. oh yeah, congratulations claude... i didn't think there was any way someone would reach the 2 win maximum so quickly.

Thanks Ethan and everyone else too.  I didn't think anyone would hit the limit so quickly either, but I'm just happy for the opportunity to participate.  Maybe if more people had voted someone else would've won this time; just a thought.

Here I was all ready to vote and Ethan ended the round at 10:30.  Sorry guys, got swamped with a deadline at work.  My vote would have been for Claude...I'll leave comments for the songs in this round over the weekend.

Yeah... I was all ready to vote, and then the messageboard died before I had a chance to. Probably didn't get to it before he closed the voting anyway, though, what with going to E3 on Friday :). Anyway, I was deciding between Crumbs, Country Roads, Don't Drive Stoned, Cross Product and Ciggies, and I think I was gonna go for Crumbs.

Well done, Claude - shame in a way, though: looks to me like you won with nothing like your best songs, so we'll be unable to vote on things like "Wonderful me".

Could we make it three wins?

... or "Hand Me Your Treasure" or "She's A Bear" or...

Congratulations, Claude.

My apologies for not getting my vote in. I did try to vote and comment on all the parodies I could, even though it was after the deadline.  I'm going to sit out of the contests for a while.  I'll be sure to do the April SOTM voting, however.

If I may be so bold, Ethan, may I say that it sucks that Claude has successfully worked himself out of a job? Can we rethink this ban?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like for Claude's parodies to remain a part of this thing. To me, it's not about winning - it's about getting more exposure to good material. So it seems monumentally unfair that Claude's parodies won't get this exposure because he's, well, too good for us.

I understand why the rule was made. I mean, Claude's on pace to win 25 of the 26 letters, and that means much less glory for the rest of us. So if we insist on preventing him from stealing that glory, could we at least let him submit a parody in each round for only reviews and comments? You could put an asterisk by his entries saying something like "Ineligible due to excessive awesomeness."

I would like Claude to be able to vote on the rest of the rounds too. (And not just because he's one of the few people that occasionally votes for me.)

Whaddaya think?
