Well, given that, as is common at this point, I only released one parody last month, I might as well enter it. It won't win, but I still think it was pretty good.

"Little Help Please" to "The Right Kind Of Wrong"

The original song was featured on the movie Coyote Ugly & the soundtrack not one of LeAnne Rimes albums. I tried to find an mp3 but I didn't so all I can provide are the lyrics. You can still DL the song with a P2P program but if you don't have one... what's wrong with you, get one!

I'm going with "Thetis, Don't Let Achilles Go Off to Invade Troy," a parody of Willie Nelson's "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys."

Possibly, Luke, it's because by entering something of yours that you think is good enough, it inspires us oldies who only just about know who Eminem is to go and try listening to it.

Ctrl+F to find... IE's a bit of a pain with this: you can't do a "Find Again" without the find dialog open, but you can just run through by clicking "Find Next" without closing that dialog - my advice: get Opera, then just use F3

..I made it four, BTW

Maya and Mason - the deadline for entering June Song of the Month was July 8. Note that the voting thread was placed on the board already a few days ago. Sorry you missed it this month, but please enter next month. Claude will take entries for July SOTM from Aug 1 - Aug 8. Any parody submitted to AmiRight in July will be eligible.

Is this where you vote???

My votes are:
1st...Spaff's Madonna "tribute"...just about the best thing I've ever read
2nd...Philbo's "Sir Farqharlot" parody...A Carry On movie in song form
3rd: Johnny D's "Amish Aerobics"...just for the bizarre concept alone!

Can I also give an honourable mention to Emi's "Be our Guest" parody? If I had another vote, she'd get it!!!

Good luck!! Kristof 8)

A recent attempted late entry and a vote on the wrong thread -- I always get confused myself.

Is there anyway to close the submission and voting threads once the deadlines pass?

Actually, there is a voting thread (easy to find, now that you know to look for it).  You can either vote there, or I'll move your votes over later if you don't get around to it.  Also, honourable mentions are fairly routine; you can give as many as you like.  Thanks, Kristof.
