Subject: from now on no one will be excluded from ABCs of parodies rounds

Written By: EthanM on 07/14/04 at 3:39 pm

starting with round "L" everyone is allowed to enter regardless of how many times they've won because starting with that round i'll be tallying cumulative votes along with who wins each round. But a song can only be in the final round if you haven't exceeded the limit of 2 through "m" or three total already entered into the finals through winning the round and the person  still eligible who gets the most votes gets their song in the finals. And you are allowed to disqualify your song regarding the finals while still being eligible for the total votes part of the competition any time before the voting closes. I know this might be a little unclear so if you have any questions let me know.

It's a little confusing but I gather that if I start entering again I'll be back at the grownup's table so that sounds good; thanks.

Claude, you had at least the second best song at the kids table for the last few rounds!  You too Spaff!

Oh, you mean 'XYZ'?  As sung by Yoda to the tune of the Jackson Five's 'ABC'?
Or maybe it would be more appropriate to call that parody a new version of 'ABC' sung in Hebrew?
Or maybe it's about someone reading an eye exam chart?
Or maybe... I should stop with the not funny already...

Thanks, Ethan, for the heads-up.

I'm working on an "X" too...imagine that.

you still have just as much reason to work on songs for letters like q x and z... each winning song gets entered into a final round but there is a limit to how much you can win but not how much you can enter so the 4th place song can potentially be the official winner of the round

Luke, on your name on the posts what does this mean?  Luke Brattoni  McVitie.
Mine is Pengu and I've been trying to figure out what a McVitie is.

If still confused, adagio, I believe "this" should help you out a whole lot.  Don't worry, I'm sure no one else knows, either.  :)

Yes, I'm getting a pony!  Isn't it so whee?  Too bad all YOU got was a "happy birthday" thread that no one visited.

I agree, those titles are weird. I originallt thought that 'Pengo' was for guys and 'Pingu' for girls, but then there are a load of others on various people. Maybe it has somethiing to do with logging on and so forth, as I assume the stars are for and the titles of 'rusty' etc. And by the way EmiLoca... IT DIDN'T HELP.

No, 'fraid it didn't.  Luke, I'll have to look for the title 'rusty'.  Maybe Chucky could fill us in here?

They're penguins... and signify your penguin rank.  When you get to a certain number of posts, your penguin rank changes.  They used to be things like "Yellow eyed penguin" and "Gentoos" and such as that, now I think they're all famous penguins.  McVitie penguins are cookies, so far as I know.  If you go here:  http://store.yahoo.com/englishteastore/british-store-cookies.html  you can see a package of McVitie penguins  (center package on the bottom row.)
