If ever there was a bubble-gum pop-music group deserving of mockery and parody,
it's REO Speedwagon!
My entry is my parody of "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" by REO Speedwagon:
"Vicodin's The Feeling I Adore"
Here's a link to my website for a free mp3 of the original song "I Can't Fight This Feeling":

I think I'm finally going to miss a round. I only have one "V" and it isn't real competitive. I'll vote if you need a tiebreaker, though

I like Valium.....er, that is to say, I like your only "V" parody, Rick.
Come on, enter it...then you'll have "Valium" and I'll have "Vicodin" ... we could make ludicrous stupors together.

Hmmm...I got "timed out" just as I was posting my return comment here. Anyway, thanks to your "nudge", JD, I wrote "Voyage Of The darnned" and will be submitting it for posting in a couple minutes. I'll leave all further information about this entry to speculation at this point. But I wouldn't have written it without your comments, JD, so you're partially responsible for this one, for better or worse...

Looks as if this is my only "V", too. I like it though. :)

Would accomodate you Phil, but I start a new gig on Nov. 15th so I'd probably be best advised to keep my calendar a bit more free for a while.

I only have one V, and it's very esoteric (Australian) but I like it, and it will be my only chance to enter an ABC contest (fast finishing it seems), so here it is.....

Stuart, write some "W" parodies! The entry deadline for that contest looks to be at least a couple weeks away from now. Johnny D just egged me on to write a "V" piece and I'm glad he did. It's fun to try and write to a specific story or goal. That's what I do when I write about my personal experiences traveling and what-not. At first it seems quite difficult and it is. But once you've completed a few it gets much easier and it can become an effective motivational tool for you. This "pester-message" is brought to you free-of-charge...

My vote will not be viewed. Verily, the V slot in my vat is vacant. To the victor goes the spoils. :\'(

Wow! Almost forgot to actually POST this parody in the entry thread - since I mentioned it here before it was actually posted on the site. Well, here it is, "Voyage of The Damned" written to Herman's Hermits OS "Henry The 8th, I Am".

It was written before commens were allowed, and some of my earlier work...the story of the forbidden love between a man and an emotionless automoton..or maybe not. Here is "Valerie (Song to an Android)":
