When I pick my favorite, it often doesn't do well. I usually do okay when I let Mari pick. she picks this one:

Finally a letter I have...and then I can't pick.  Nothing jumped out as my favorite, but I think the majority ought to be able to relate to this one...

Well,  I had a lot of "W" parodies that I thought were pretty good but this one seems to stand out to me...My entry:  "Who Stole My Freaking Glove" done to the Monotones 50's hit "Who Wrote The Book of Love".

Better get my order in, I suppose... just to get in a bit of blatant advertising, I'd always assumed I was going to submit When Upgrading Windows (to 'When I'm Cleaning Windows' by George Formby) for this round... until I wrote "When You're Trying To Fight", and didn't stick it into the SOTM.  I reckon this one has to be in for one competition at least, so:

When You're Trying To Fight (the Election Song) (to 'When You're Lying Awake (the Nightmare Song)' by Gilbert and Sullivan)

Heck...I had 9 "W" songs to choose from.....this is my personal favourite; I'm quite proud of it (dunno why...)  :P

Anyways, let me offer you "Wooden Kid Gets Spliced" to "Wouldn't It Be Nice" by the BEach Boys

Good luck, everyone!!

So I don't think this is funny enough to win anything, but I thought it was somewhat clever: http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/neilsedaka2.shtml

Had a nagging feeling about this - I've just checked the rules

Thirdly, winning 2 rounds means you can't win anymore but you're still allowed to enter parodies for the exposure.

- looks like I'm gonna be sitting the last four rounds out (and to think I wrote an 'X' xspecially for the next round).

Best of luck to everyone else.

Phil, I'm not sure that rule still applies. Seems to me it was amended in a later round by Ethan. Please enter anyway.

I concur with Rick.  Please enter anyway.  I also believe that rule was rescinded.

starting with round "L" everyone is allowed to enter regardless of how many times they've won because starting with that round i'll be tallying cumulative votes along with who wins each round. But a song can only be in the final round if you haven't exceeded the limit of 2 through "m" or three total already entered into the finals through winning the round and the person   still eligible who gets the most votes gets their song in the finals. And you are allowed to disqualify your song regarding the finals while still being eligible for the total votes part of the competition any time before the voting closes. I know this might be a little unclear so if you have any questions let me know.

I think that this posting from Ethan did open up the abc contests to all parody writers, even those who have won twice.  But, even if it didn't, there now appears to be a strong consensus to allow all parody writers to enter regardless of the number times they have won.  Good luck, Philbo (and Spaff and Claude).

Welcome, everyone, to the Mutual Admiration Society.

I just KNEW you were gonna pull something like that. Sorry, but I have to withdraw. And not just because I'm afraid of getting my sissy asss whupped, but also because I'm about to lose my Internet access for a couple of weeks, and we all know that it's utterly lame-o to be part of a contest you don't vote in. So I'm out. Or, rather, PEACE OUT. (And if this devolves into another debate about contest rules, sorry, but I ain't backin' down.)

Okay, I'll take down the link.  You hear that everybody?  The Wreck of Ben Affleck and J.Lo is NOT entered in this contest, so everyone make sure you DON'T go read The Wreck of Ben Affleck and J.Lo, because The Wreck of Ben Affleck and J.Lo is NOT entered in the "W" round, plus it only has like five votes so it must not be very good anyway.  Sorry about all the confusion.

I'll put the voting thread together tomorrow as it's bedtime now.  It'll give me a chance to test my "give me a link and I'll work out the rest" bit of code...

Entries closed for now, guys and gals.
