At least I was ahead of Johnny D for a while...then he had to go and enter Sausager Stuffski. At least I didn't get last, which was what I was expecting.

Seriously, it's a bit embarrassing winning your own comp, but thanks for all your votes and support. I think it was more perseverence than talent that got me the gold...Arwen would definitely have won it if she hadn't have missed the rap round.
I know it's a cliche, but it's not the winning, it's the taking part that matters. This comp's really stretched me as a writer and a competition organiser, and it's been (mostly) great fun.
Sorry about the delay on the medal ceremony thread; my home PC has crashed (again!) but hopefully will be up and running soon.
